It has been some time since I posted part of the collection, specifically that of Leatherman. Now that I am using Flicker, you can now zoom in and take a closer look than ever before. Not sure Tosh. I was and still am disappointed with Leatherman. There was a paradigm shift for a while where they didn't want to sell their products to anyone other than an American. I was for quite some time, able to buy things in the US and have them shipped over here. Then all of a sudden, places that would sell to me told me they couldn't because if Leatherman found out, there would be repercussions. I was forced to come to terms that Leatherman had little interest in the Canadian market, let alone an avid collector. I even called Leatherman on the phone a few times and was roadblocked nicely in my inquiries. They just didn't care. I see now they do offer some models for the Canadian market, but not the good ones that a collector would be interested in. I figured if they didn't want to sell to me, I maybe didn't want to buy anymore. I do not have any of the Free models simply because I haven't been able to source them locally, and the few I can get off of Amazon.ca are super expensive. Frankly, the Canadian market is small compared to that of the US when you consider the whole population of Canada is smaller than that of the State of California alone. Even so, not sure why Leatherman told their sellers not to sell to those pesky foreigners. If they had that policy up when I first started collecting, I would hardly have as many as I do have now.Either way, I still think I have a nice Leatherman collection even if missing the newer models.Thank you McStitchy, I like that one as well.
What's the story on the camo Minitool ?
I used Gorilla Camo tape on the Mini-tool to cover the handles and trimmed off the excess length with a razor blade and also did the same to a Rebar and Wave few months ago. They came out pretty cool for display and for pictures
Pics or it didn't happen
