Isn't this the standard soldier model of the era?

Pabs beat me to it.  It's misidentified as a Model 1908.  These are quite lovely, if you don't already have one.

It is not the standard issue of that era. Here's the description in English:

The knife is unique. Model 1908 length 100mm weight 125g. The knife was born in 1960 and is stamped by the WK. According to the story about the soldier's knife, the knife cannot even exist in this version. In 1951 the orderly was adapted with a new blade shape. Length 93 mm, weight 90g. How this execution came about is beyond my knowledge.

The model 1908 was produced until 1950. (it has clippoint blade and it is 100mm). Model 1951 has spearpoint blade in stainless steel. Model 1961 is alox.

Model 1961 is alox, but that was the year the model was presented as the new issued knife.
The first alox Soldiers released have a 62 stamp.

It was probably a warranty case that got a new blade in 1960 or shortly thereafter.

That knife is just a cheap try to create a "fake" soldier knife. The "60" is not a stamp, its an engraving done after assembling. Victorinox did not produce any soldier knife in the year 60, thats for sure. The knife shown is a standard model nr. 200 done for the retail industry, with inox steel (what was never used for "official" soldier knives) and brass pins (also never used for soldier knives). The wk stamp does not mean anything at all. You could order every soldier type knife from victorinox with or without the wk stamp. I dont blame the actual seller of that knife. He wrote that he`s not sure how those stamps/engravings were done. In my opinion, its not a collectable item. It would have been more valuable without the engraving of that 60. That does not mean that it will sell for a lot of money, because people believe always what they want to believe, that its an ultra rare soldier knife missing in their collections...and for sure a proof, that victorinox did soldier knives in the year 1960.

Great review, thanks for the heads up!

Also, the size is questionable, all we have is this clearly self made (look at the 18/"19") scale for size reference.

Also, I would not call this "Das Messer ist in sehr guten Zustand mit sehr geringen Gebrauchsspuren" (Knife is in very good condition with very little signs of use).
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.
