Is there anything the younger you wanted but never got?

I'm sure there many things the younger us never got but I was wondering if that thing is still on your mind today or if it enters your mind today?  It would also be awesome to hear if anyone ended up getting it! 

I got to thinking about the Honda MB5.  Man I was so close to getting one in 83/84 but it was not to be  :cry:.  A guy in the neighborhood had one that he was selling and I had some money saved up plus a sweet bmx bike he would take as partial payment.  The deal never happened and I was so bummed.

Well thats one heck of a vehicle.  Anything a little else like something the even younger you wanted but never got?  Trains set, bike, action figure, or?

When I lived in Escondido, 1978-80 these were the hot little dirt bikes. Couldn't afford one of those so I got a minibike instead.

I always wanted a “scrambler” when I was a teen.
Did not get one till I was in my late twenties, a new Kawasaki kmx 125, had it for 9 months before crashing it an fracturing my spine and smashing my heel. It was fun while it lasted.
My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

Now, to get this topic back on track...

I always wanted a real Swiss Army knife when I was a kid (MacGyver you know...).  Closest I came was when I went to a local DIY store with my father and I noticed they had these fake SAKs at the counter, and my dad, strangely enough, told me I could have one of those.

It was real cheap, and the Phillips screwdriver turned into a cone after using it once.

I should try to dig it up, it's here somewhere, in one of the old storage boxes in the basement, from when we moved into this house, back in 2006.

And that knife was responsible for me thinking that SAKs were cr*p compared to Leatherman tools, until I finally bought my Huntsman, at the age of 32 or so...

I think it's safe to say that I made up for 32 years without a real SAK in the passed 10 years  :D.

When they first came out I wanted a Subaru WRX, but couldn't justify the money.  However, a couple of years ago I indulged myself and bought a Golf R wagon (similar to a WRX but more civilised and much more practical for my usage).  So good things sometimes do come to those who wait (and are a bit proactive).
