I went to the Station Mall today, a place I rarely go these days since COVID 19 struck, to complain about a rascally Bell door salesman that bothered my partner while I was at work. The jerk kindly left me his business card in my mailbox after refusing to leave, attempting to barge into her house (we are neighbours), and arguing with her as she told him to leave. This infuriated me to such an extent that I called the Bell shop in the Station Mall and complained. The manager of the store was sorry to hear about this and wanted me to take a photo of the card and email it to him to make a formal complaint on the guy. I decided to do one better and hauled myself to his store and gave him the card in person. He wasn't very happy when I told him the better half called the police and they told her they were inundated with phone calls about the same jerk.
On my way out, I decided to visit SportChek as they have Atmosphere sort of attached to them (and SportChek is located right next door to the Bell store). Atmosphere is a camping and hiking store. I rarely go there, but I am thinking that might change. I found a Gerber Spine and Devour combo pack for $78.99 and a Leatherman blue Juice B2 for $30 dollars. When I got to the checkout, I got a lot of reductions. The Gerber combo pack rang up for $32.88 and the B2 for $10.48. I like that deal, and it took the sting from having to complain about a jerk Bell operator from Toronto.
The Gerber Devour is an interesting eating tool, and the Spine is a nice bushcraft type knife with a hard sheath. I do find it a bear to get the knife out or to lock it back into the sheath. Might soften up with use.
