Every Day Minimalism
on: December 23, 2020, 09:44:33 PM
This year has been interesting to say the least but one thing I found is that my Leatherman Wave can do a lot. I carry my Wave in the Leatherman pouch with the bit kit extender, bit kit, and a Streamlight Microstream flashlight.

I always carry my Wave for work but typically going into a job site I will carry a small tool bag as well.  This year I tried not to bring my toolbag into job sites unless necessary and what I found is my Wave could handle about 90% of problems, maybe not ideally but it got the job done.  I'm not saying to use the Wave if a proper tool is available but I am impressed with the versatility the Wave has.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Wave was the first “proper“ full size (medium size :dunno: ) MT I got (in BO).
I think of it as my do everything tool and what I’d take in a SHTF scenario (with a SAK). Mostly carry SAKs but like knowing I’ve always got the wave to turn to

The Wave is a very capable tool, especially when paired with a bit kit.  It does not surprise me it can handle 90% of the tasks.

The Wave is quite a workhorse.  Not sure I would call that load out minimalist.  For work perhaps, definitely not for EDC.
At any rate, glad it's working out for you.

I would agree for EDC my minimal is a Swiss Army Tinker but for work just the Wave is pretty bare bones for me.

I have been getting by since  Sept with a Leatherman Squirt PS4, and Vic Minichamp.  To be honest I could do without the Minichamp.  I just like Swiss Army Knives so much I like to have one with me all the time.
