Would like help for a USA inmate please
on: January 07, 2021, 07:27:27 AM
G'Day,

I am looking for some Leatherman removable eyeglass bits as in this link: https://www.leatherman.com/eyeglass-bit-kit-3-pack-550.html

LM Australia is sold out, and a single bit is as much as the three quoted above.

I would imagine that they should fit inside an envelope and postage should not be much more than a letter?

Happy to pay upfront for the bits and the postage and "handling charges...". Postage to Sydney, Australia, post code 2155.

Cheers, Pete

I'd offer to help, but they are £5.70 each here https://www.knivesandtools.co.uk/en/pt/-mini-screwdriver-for-among-others-leatherman-wave.htm. I can't find the 3 bit kit listed on any UK sites.

Does inmate mean something different in Australia than the US?

"a person confined to an institution such as a prison or hospital."

What about a different site to purchase the bit? Here are a couple I found:

https://lawgear.com.au/products/leatherman-eyeglass-screwdriver-suits-wave-plus-charge-plus
The right tool is the one you have on you

Ok, so at least someone was thinking the same as me, especially after looking at that pic he posted, lol.. cause it doesn’t look like a tool..

Well, I thought it was pretty clear going by the title of the thread...

Thanks for the links Swiss Guy, but the one in the USA is cheaper and it includes three of them. The ones in Oz are sold as single units.

I'm cooped in post surgery recovery but I may be able to assist in the next few weeks

It looks like they are 11 USD to get them shipped to me, which seems crazy considering I live 2 hours south of leatherman  headquarters, their packaging is usually the sheath plastic clamshell which would be 1000x larger than necessary for these

I can't find them on Amazon, I might have an extra 1 or 2 you can have for free, but they likely been carried so the finish isn't perfect, just cover postage

Thanks NK,

I was under the impression one can order from LM directly? Is that the USD11?

Thanks for the offer. I'm not after new ones, these got my attention due to multiple ones in a single serve. If you have two spare, I will happily pay for them as well as postage to Oz.

Cheers, Pete
