Recently bought myself a pull through sharperner and managed to get a decent edge back on the 1999 Work Champ. Certainly good enough to use around the house again. And it makes up for the scratches I put on the blade using the Vic manual sharpener. (Image removed from quote.)
Do you have a picture of the sharpener?
Way to go Michael! I tend to scratch mine up too.
I boughted Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener to prevent myself to scratch my Vics blade, its pain in the ass to remove those scratches what came from dual sharpener but i have learned how to sharpen with it without scratching blades. Also Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener is easy to use and you can get easily sharp and without scratches. I'll look out for one of them next time I'm spending, cheers.
