This is a knife.... StatGear GovX

Thought I'd show y'all this knife that came through in my confi batches. I looked up their website a few weeks ago to get a little more info on it. Seems like a very solidly built, legit rescue tool. The StatGear GovX rescue knife.

It features a liner locking combi main blade, a liner-locking dedicated hook blade, a spring-loaded glass breaker, and an LED light. This is one solid piece of tool.

Yes, it's the real thing, for sure. Looks like they sell for about $40 new, on their website.

I found out since then that Statgear is the knife company, GovX is a government material supplier. (More accurately, they sell goods at discounts to Military, LEO, and rescue personnel).  So this is a Statgear that GovX had them put their name on, evidently.

And what looks to be a really good strap cutter.  While I usually buy this type of knife since I work on a farm and occasionally deal with livestock getting caught up in things;  I often use the strap/seatbelt cutter more than I do the blade on knives that have them--more effective at cutting heavy material and saves wear on the blade. The only problem is how they're done--I have $25 Kershaws with good cutters, and $75 knives with mediocre ones. Some of them are lasers through any kind of webbing or cordage, and others are just blunt hook-shaped objects.

Yes, this appears to be a very high quality hook blade, and it locks, too. It is sharpenable--I think round sharpening utensils would work best on it.

I have a StatGear Escape Tool (pictured) in my car, but it doesn’t have a knife and the glass breaker is just a tip.  This knife looks pretty sweet for a first responder use.

Yep, pretty affordable too. A little thick and clunky, but hey that makes it harder to lose, and allows for some pretty solid features.
