Day 25

I like how we have all ended up so far posting cooking uses today - a few days ago we were seemingly dominated by beer opening and a few days before that package opening .... must be something in the air!

Day 25
Hate to break a pattern with the food lads but I found myself in the shed again taking apart an old ranger. PX was at hand as always these days.
I had just got a set of titanium scales and fittings from Aliexpress and wanted to see if they were worth it. Well, turns out they were 2 not 3 layer as advertised and the screws were slightly mis-sized but I made it work. Don’t know what the hell I’ve ended up with (not quite a Compact), but it looks and feels pretty good.

I'm also breaking with the food photos because I've been on the ale all afternoon and only just realised I'd not taken a photo. Oops.

Day 26

With fingers very much crossed that we’ve seen the last of frosts for the season, I’ve planted out my tomato seedlings (appropriately enough, ‘sub-Arctic’ is the variety!) - used the scissors to cut new lengths of twine to secure the seedlings to their bamboo stakes.

Spa day!  There was a little tarnish on the nickel silver dividers visible between the back springs.

Not a lot going on today other than a clandestine visit to the pub at dinnertime, so the PX just oversaw the water and chocolate to try and boost me through the afternoon...

God I was bored today. Had to recreate the French Revolution with jelly babies just to find a use (no matter how far-fetched) for the PX! Vive la Revolution!

Great stuff!

Day 27

Slightly more prosaic, pasta opening for dinner - time to try that sauce out (always tastes better reheated, don’t ask why!)

Nice work, everyone!

Day 28

Used the main blade to cut a neat tab on a box of compost maker before nipping out first thing to sprinkle some into my compost bin leaving the lid off so the rain will wash it in - assuming we get some, of course! It’s been a dry April this year....

Day 28 bonus

Amazon delivery, and like a good multi tool owner, I ignored the opening pull tab, and cut the package open with the main blade!

Day 28

I think I may need help...
Today, a jelly baby recreation of the execution of Ann Boleyn. Note the oversized figure of Henry VIII (2 JBs smooshed together) in the background.
While not a precisely accurate portrayal, it should be remembered that poor Ann brought in her own executioner, a French long sword man, to take care of business (at least that’s how I remember it and it should be patently obvious by now that I’m starting to lose the plot completely).
Anyhoo - I think the PX plays the part of “long sword” admirably. I’m off to lie down in a darkened room. See you tomorrow.

One more day to go ...

This morning the PX has helped sort out some replacement batteries. Opening the box and helping to pry out the battery housing...
