I had some time and always have a file to hand so I thought, why not? I ground a crude edge into the unsharpened flat of the can opener on my picknicker. It'll cut through jute just fine (fair bit of pull, but I can sharpen it up more another time). the corner is now also sharp enough (and protrudes
just enough) to be used as a package opener too (which was my original intent before I went filing crazy). It was pretty quick, makes me glad Vic steel tends to the softer side
Was a bit of a pain to not bind the file on the claw of the opener though!
