I made this mod more than a couple years ago and many probably got tired of seeing it when I first made it  :D but it has been a while since I have carried it and took many pics of it  It is a dual colors Rebar with a Kick clip mod, diamond file and scissors 8)

I am not tired of seeing it   :dd:
I am not a fan of all BO MTs, but I am a fan of dual color MTs  :2tu:

Day 4

A recreation of how I was using my Rebar earlier today:

This is the #1 use I have for a SE blade. It cuts through the flexible conduit and its nylon reinforcement better than a PE blade does.

Day 4 - not much rebar work today, I had a 12h shift today and one tomorrow but I did get to tight this valves handle when I got home. And nice pics everyone!

                                    Day 4

Used the Philips to tighten the handle of the saw. Needed to make one more chicken feeder because they were fighting too much over the first one.

Feeder inspected and approved

Since I was in the coop improvement mode already I made them a designer lampshade.

Later in the evening used the blade to open a pack of Christmas themed socks for the kid

Lots of great reports on Rebar usage (especially Davis) and lots of nice pics!  I really like Steve and David's continued inclusion of traditional folders too  :tu:  And don't get me started on black oxide 🥰

Day 4

After 3 days of my Rebar riding low and horizontal in my pocket, I need to start working on a pocket clip solution.   Decisions, decisions...

Since it's the easiest to apply and remove, I'll start out with the suspension clip:

I've been carrying my Rebar all day with the suspension clip, and it works great.  The Rebar hangs in the perfect position, and I don't even notice it's there.  The PST did the same with the suspension clip, but the Rebar is just as comfortable, yet it is a much beefier tool.  All was going well until I needed the blade to open some packages and to cut off some labels...

Crap!   I would say that's less than ideal, especially since I use the blade so frequently.  I'll keep it this way for a few days, but I suspect I'll switch to the Nite Ize clip.

Ooops... Sorry it's not working for you Rich; had you tried dropping the lanyardring/clip back over the handle, like I do in first picture? The 2nd. picture is to show how it's clipped. Hope this helps (but if not, the Hip Clip is a great solution! :tu:)

Thanks!  I'll try it that way tomorrow.  Just playing around with it in my hand (not actually cutting anything), I suspect that it will still flop around too much.  I wonder if I could use a small magnet to keep it secured away from the blade.

Thanks, Rich :hatsoff: I didn't destroy the Kick ;) I just swapped the Rebar knurled screw into at after getting tapped the one from it

I purchased the tool to remove those knurled screws, but I doubt my ability to do a swap like that.  It also looks like a decent amount of filing is required on the Rebar to make room for the side of the clip  :ahhh

This sounds like a good idea...

...the 2nd one highlighted, not; you could try taking the pivot out, study and then measure and try out the clip without the filing; get to know what's there. Then decide if or how much filing is needed and if willing. If not, it's just a matter of putting everything back toghether as it was.  :tu:

Nope, no filing if you don't want to :D You can cut the notch but I was already using that clip as a wrench before I got the loki wrenches and had bent the clip flat  it swivels a little from time to time but sit well in the pocket without moving :salute:
