December 01

Day 01

Greetings from Manila, Philippines!

The Rebar was my first LM MT.  It was also my least used because of a couple of things: 1) It didn’t have scissors. 2) I wasn’t 100% comfortable with the grip as I felt the back of the file / saw dig into my palm when clamping down something.

I basically work a ‘desk job’ though I’m currently a stay-at-home dad.  Well, everyone is staying at home right now coz of what’s happening in the world. Most of the tasks the Rebar would be handling would be DIY or small home jobs.

Lately I’ve “invested” in a pair of parsing wrenches which allowed me to customize my Rebar’s load-out.  It now has scissors.  It now has a bit adaptor.  It practically has the same load-out as a Wave without the OHO capabilities. Hopefully by mid-month, it will soon have a pocket clip just for the heck of it. With that said, here’s Day 1 of my Rebar Challenge:

We bought stuff over the weekend for the kids.  Here’s the Rebar cutting tags with the scissors.

Hello Day 1 of the Rebar challenge.
I have 3 but for this challenge I will use my knifeless Rebar in practice for when our current regime  allows us to  travel and get home easily.
I can leave but cannot get back at present as you cannot get a quarantine spot and then if you can get it one the cost is around US2000. I was hoping  to get to Europe sooner.
Anyway my day 1 pic is the magic opening of the down under surprise package .
Thanks to the the team for sending it .

Great start Zephon and Paul!!! :2tu:

Since it's just 21:44hrs here, I'll just peep in my weekly choice 'til the 22nd; I work at a school, and clinic-based settings, and I'm unable to carry bladed implements or tools so, Knifeless Rebar (usually complemented with the bit kit shown) it is!

Can't wait to see everyone's pictures, either action or beauty shots so,  :gimme:!

Oooh, such a lovely thought GF, thanks!!!!

Oooh, such a lovely thought GF, thanks!!!!

I actually really like my Rebar, but I have a tradition of opening my girlfriends gifts with knives she's previously gifted me, and the Rebar (and Executive) don't fall into that category unfortunately  :ahhh

Though I'm not sure how I'd do with only internal opening tools all month loooong

I like the setup of your knifeless Rebar, Juan

Update:
Apparently, tight wasn’t *tight enough* on the scissor pivot.  It skipped on its spring several times when I use it at a certain angle, like getting leverage to cut tag stitching that’s practically stuck on the surface.
