Just re-read the post SurgeUK, sorry for my initial reaction.Assuming the UK restrictions on locking blades don't apply to your circumstances, the Wave would also get my vote. If you don't need locking blades or a serrated blade or a saw, the Curl does have the advantage of lighter weight (although this is conjecture as I have no experience with it). I take it the Surge is too large for your purposes?
I think common sense should prevail and you get one of each. You know it is going to happen anyway
I'm curious why you would want a Wave if you have the Surge
Thanks for your enabling words of advice and guidance
Infidel!!!
Well said!
come on, if the surge was the right size, and had a premium plain edge blade there would be no reason for the charge. it is just a little too large for pocket carry and has a 420hc blade. The tshank adapter, the awl. you know you want these in a wave. you know you do.
There's also the Sidekick, which was a decent multitool for $30 but is way overpriced at $60 (compared to what it offers).
The Wave sounds like it has everything you want except for full size scissors. The scissors it has work well for their size. I'd have to say get a Wave or a Charge Tti. The Charge has a better blade material for the main blade and it has the hook on the serrated blade which I think would work well on plastic strapping, but it is half again the price of the wave.
You might want to replace the Rebar that you gave away instead of the Bond you thought you gave away
I see an easy fix, but it's a Victorinox Spirit or Spirit X.
I prefer the Curl over the Wave because it's more comfortable sitting in my pocket. I would say that if keeping a MT as small as possible is important to you, and you can live without a serrated blade and saw (or are willing to do a mod), then definitely get the Curl.
