Hello from Bath, UK

Hi folks! My name's Tom.
I've had some sort of multi-tool on me for most of my adult life. For the past ten years or so that's been a Leatherman Juice XE-6 and I still think it's the best all-round multi-tool that complies with the UK's knife laws. However, I recently changed jobs and now need to dress a bit smarter, and that means I can't really carry something so heavy on me any more. So I'm now looking into what options I have that are lighter, and/or ways to split the weight into a set of different tools in different places so that the weight is more spread out. It's great fun seeing a bit of what's come out since I was last paying attention, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of that on here!
I've also seen some fantastic SAK mods around the place, and think I might give it a try myself. So brace yourselves for lots of newbie questions on that! :-)
Great to meet you all!
Tom

Welcome! When I saw "Bath" I thought of Bath, Maine, USA where the Bath iron works is (long time shipyard in that same town).
I'm kind of new on the site here as well.. It's a good place and tons people to talk with about gear. - OHT

Welcome to
MTo
Tom
The XE-6 is a great MT which packs a lot of features.
Maybe you could start by taking those tools off the list that you won't need in your new job.
Saw, pliers, corkscrew...?
I find the Vic. SwissCard an elegant way to split up and move some features into my wallet.
Good luck with your quest !

Welcome aboard! You'll get myriad recommendations for multi-tools that are appropriate for when one needs to dress smartly, I'm sure.
