Most trusted and best place to buy a Leatherman?

I am looking to buy a Surge and was wondering where you all “prefer” to buy from?

I see the usual online places, but not sure I trust any where, but maybe straight from Leatherman….

Thoughts, suggestions, etc are all welcome. Thanks

First and foremost, Leatherman.com. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from other retailers like Amazon, maybe knifecenter, bladehq, etc

Buying new typically there all close to the same price, sportsman’s warehouse, Cabela’s / Basspro, Scheels and REI are all reliable.

Direct from Leatherman has the Perks of gaining points towards the new insider program.

If not afraid of getting a used one or possibly finding a decent deal on a NIB, eBay is a great place to look.

I’ve been perusing eBay lately but have been a bit “cautious” of what I’m seeing. I wouldn’t mind a slightly used to newish as this one will be certainly USED as I need it for work. I have several Waves and Skeletools for hobby use, but need something more substantial and what better than a Surge..IMO🤷🏻‍♂️

I buy from variety of vendors, including Leatherman.com, Amazon, eBay, and several popular sporting goods stores.  I just make sure it's from a place that will take returns, and I make sure I inspect my tool thoroughly when it arrives.

craigslist and ebay for good prices. sometimes the exchange if you are/were military. leatherman is good for vets/military, medical, education (staff and students), first responders all get 30% off. Unless you are very familiar with someone on facebook the marketplace is full of non reputable posts it appears. so maybe skip that.

if you've been looking at ebay, I think you'll likely be fine. they are pretty helpful to buyers that don't get what they ordered.

edit, i'd keep an eye on this one, black oxide with sheath, saw and file. looks new out of the box, currently $30 https://www.ebay.com/itm/166569299434

Update…..

I passed on the Surge and bought a Charge + TTI straight from Leatherman. Should be here next week.  Thanks to all that replied. A Surge may be up “next”. 🙄
