I already have the badge but I’ll join in for the fun of it.

Here are a few of my favorites, neither done by me.
Compact Tinker and Mountain Yeoman (file not open)

Two that are more customs, rather than simple mods, of discontinued models
84mm Alox Voyageur and Yeoman

Thanks for joining me, some nice ones you got there!  The next challenge I want to attempt, is the Discontinued SAK/MT Challenge.  I have a Outdoorsman that I restored.  I broke the fine screwdriver off when I was a kid and the scales were chipped and cracked with huge chuncks missing.

Very nice, like those scales and the green tweezer goes nicely.

Day 2
Cut some frozen dog food

The knife was a GAW prize so I’m not certain about where the scales are from but I know there are similar available of Etsy

Day 3

I tested the custom wood saw when I made it, but wanted to test it with it assembled in the knife.  Works pretty good, considering it's so tiny.

Very cool.

My pup loves the small tennis balls too but only if they also squeak.

Missed posting yesterday due to a migraine that started Friday evening so I wasn’t on, but still got a picture cutting some dog treats when it let up.

Mine will continue to tear them up even after they stop squeaking and if it rolls under the couch, she trys digging through.

With all the box opening, I can see where the Sturdy blade comes in handy.

I didn’t make them.  This mod, including scales was made by @comis.  I believe he made a how-to thread, I’ll have to se if I can find.

I can't believe I missed this challenge.  How modified does the SAK have to be to qualify?

lazar can confirm because it is his challenge, but from what I’ve experienced from previous ones, is as long as the toolset of the knife has been changed it qualifies.  The one I have been primarily using is at the minimal end with only the cork screw being replaced by a phillips driver.  Or it could be more in depth where tools have been physically modified or replaced such as lazar’s Spydernox.

I think it has to be more than just a scale swap.  I guess you could start your Day 1 today and just carry on after we finish our 30th day.  I won't abandon the thread, I'll hang out with ya in here.

I'll have to stand in the wings and watch the show as I don't have any toolset mods yet.  Looking forward to seeing what kind of adventures y'all encounter.

Day 8
A Teal 84mm Voyageur

The Voyageur is one of those models that was cut when Victorinox stopped making 84mm with scissors.  Beaver Bladeworks modified 91mm scissors to fit the 84mm frame. For me this is a perfect bare minimum toolset.

It opened boxes today for a new pack and water bottle.

I didn't even notice that in your post above.  Looks like they moved where pivot is on those scissors.  Very cool!
