Suggestions on a new Heavy duty SOG MT
on: June 12, 2024, 07:15:04 AM
Its been a while since SOG has released a new MT and with Leatherman heavily promoting the Arc, Im curious to know how SOG will come up with a competitive product.
Im eager to know what additional features than already present in the SOG, our fellow members would love to see on that.

My short list:
Since the Plier is the primary Tool, would love to see the Compound Leverage gears be made of HC steel.
A nice effective file like the Leatherman.
Reversible Flat/Philip micro screwdriver.
Some mechanism to avoid tool clumping.
Do away with the Flaps/wings of the Powerlock.
Pocket Clip

Welcome to MTO! I'm a fan of the Powerlock and I left the wings in place.  I'm just hoping they don't get the silly notion to discontinue the Powerlock.  If anything, I might like to see a 3/4 sized powerlock sort of like the Rebar is to the SuperTool 300.

Welcome aboard and I agree with Alan.  A 3/4 size tool would definitely fill a void.
