RIP Kris Kristofferson

One of the finest songwriters of my lifetime and a pretty good actor also. His best known song was Me and Bobby McGee, but his finest works were Sunday Morning Coming Down and Why Me. He also was my wife's heartthrob, but I can forgive him for that  :D

RIP, managed to miss that news
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

I remember when the Highwayman song first came out.  I felt that all 4 of them were the perfect ones to do each part of the song.

Mine also.  Pair it with Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt.

I could (and have!) make a playlist of songs from those four men and listen to it every day.

He did pretty well in the lead role in Convoy, too. RIP to another country great.

The quintessential 70's rough and tumble look had to be modeled after that guy.  To know he wrote so many songs was an interesting find.  Sure did have a row with Rita Coolidge, but they did have a hot and cold relationship.
He is less remembered for Casey's Last Ride and Song I'd Like to Sing (with Rita).
Also, the movie Flashpoint wasn't half bad.
