Puzzling 111mm SAK Locksmith observation.
on: November 30, 2024, 04:08:23 AM
I have both the Original Liner Lock 111mm Locksmith and the OHO Locksmith but the arrangement of the Metal Saw and the Wood Saw are different on each one. The Wood Saw is the first tool on the LIner Lock - See Pic
The Metal Saw is the first tool on the OHO Locksmith - See Pic. I couldn't find any mention of that on the Locksmith SAKWiki page.   Any thoughts?     [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]    [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]    [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I think they are both liner locks. The black one cannot be a slide lock.

Also, my OHO Locksmith has the saw on the outside. I think yours was put together wrong at Victorinox.

Correct, that was a typo on my part. I will fix that,  The question  still remains as to why are the tools not in the same order ?

I wonder if it is worth contacting Victorinox and asking them ?

Interesting .....

The order of the tools in a certain model does change from time to time and this is noted in the Wiki for some models.

Not sure whether for those two specific tools in the Locksmith the order matters - Sometimes it does - eg hiding nail nicks etc

I guess the black one is a much older model - But it looks like you OHO tool order differs from zrxoa's OHO - So that is unusual

By all means contact Vic - They usually are pretty helpful.

Thanks, do I just use their contact info on their website?  Would you suggest the Victorinox USA website or the Swiss one?  My thought is to goto the Mothership site.  But what do I know !!  LOL
Hope all you all had a good Thanksgiving.

Your situation is not unique, I noticed the same thing with mine but I don't know why they changed the layer order (and the liner position).
