IMR and the Tree Psychic
on:

I said that I would tell a story about a tree psychic who came to call. When I had the time. Well, it is time. The story might make more sense if I tell it backward.
It must have been about three years ago that I found a dead woman in a car parked below my mailbox on the side of the paved road. Temps were 90 something Fahrenheit. First I saw the car. It looked unoccupied. Not really all that strange for someone to be parked in the wide area around my mailbox. People do it now and then. Cars break down sometimes. The state workers park there and have their lunch. Sometimes they leave equipment there over night. Anyway I didn't recognize the car. Gray Japanese something or other. Not too new. Subaru or something. Maybe a Mitzybitzy.
So, I walked up to the car and saw the top of a woman's head in the driver's seat. It wasn't just the head in the seat. The whole body was there slumped down with the head still attached. Window was rolled up. Rear window was rolled down a little. Middle aged. A little overweight. Hair dyed pink. I looked. No movement. Mouth open. I walked to the opened window and said, "HEY". Nothing. Then I said in a loud voice, "Are you okay?" Still nothing.
Her eyes were closed. I figured if she were dead, her eyes would likely still be open. No green flies on her. No blood. No sign that she wasn't in control of the car when it came to a stop. Car wasn't parked in the way of anything. Although my first reaction was she was dead, I decided that she was probably a doper taking a snooze. Or just plain passed out.
Naturally I did the responsible thing. I walked home and forgot about it. Anyway I walked home. Made something for lunch. Puttered around the house doing stuff, I don't remember. After a couple of hours, I decided it was time for an update. Walked back down the road.
The woman had evidently passed out, or been too tired or drunk to drive. Anyway, the car and Pinky were gone. That's when a sneaky suspicion crept through the partially clogged corridors in my mind and I realized something. I knew who she was. She was the tree psychic. That explained quite a bit. I will tell the beginning to this story soon. This installment is getting a little long. Best wishes. G

My first contact with the tree psycho was via this note. It was folded up in a plastic sandwich bag and fastened to a Halloween decoration of a witch's leg. Black witch boot with old fashioned buckle and orange and black striped stockings. It was fastened to some bushes beside my driveway. I almost missed it. I will show you front and back. I did black out the phone number. Why did I keep this correspondence? Just in case. Never know when you might have to prove something, right? There will be more coming after this, so buckle up. Best wishes. [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ] [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ] [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Seems like a harmless request. Keep the salt, silver spikes, and witch hazel handy, just in case.

I probably should have mentioned that the note was from about 4 years ago. Sounds innocuous, right? Nice neighbor wants to shoot a few pictures. Tells me I'm blessed. She probably meant with the scenery. More to come. Best wishes. G

I did call her and got an answering machine. That's how I learned her last name. I did send her a text, since she asked for one. It wasn't a yes or no. I'm rather more talkative than that.
I said she could take some photos with conditions. Do not park in my driveway. Park behind my mailbox. Do not come to my house. I didn't mind if she crossed fences, but the bull in the pasture probably would. More to come if anyone is interested. Actually, more to come anyway. Best wishes. G

I don't sleep very well, and haven't for years. Consequently I wake up woozy and very early. So it was a few days after I left my few rules with the tree psychic. I was up and thought maybe I would feel better if I had a shower.
It was hot, and the front door was open. Screen door was shut. Mainly to keep out the airborne six-legger brigade. I staggered through the house wearing gray boxers and carrying a T-shirt. What to my wondering eyes do appear, but a 47 year old female at my door. Taping a note to the door frame.
I walked out and sat down in a rocker as I put on my shirt. It's my house. I will walk around any way I please. I said, "You must be Misty." She was smiling. Not really embarassed. Maybe. She had hair that was dyed blue. A little dumpy. Looked like she had been up all night (which she later volunteered).
She had already broken all three rules as stipulated. She hadn't parked behind my mailbox. She came to my house. And she was parked in my driveway with parts dragged off the undercarriage of her car from my rough road. I saw she had no intention of following any rule. Not even the ones she had given in her letter to me.
We talked a little. She dragged her car back through the ruts and ditches some way or other. I have no idea how. I sent her a text that maybe she wouldn't be happy trying to take photos on the old farm property. She sent a text that she had looked around and tried to see what energies she could glean from the trees. Trees absorb the tragedies that had taken place around them and act as a woody storehouse for someone who was in touch with nature. My trees didn't communicate with her. She sensed nothing in any of them. So, she wouldn't come back especially as her movements would be restricted. Even though she was the one who said she wouldn't cross any fences. Evidently she forgot what she wrote, or maybe never meant to abide by her word.
I did have the text message she sent, but not anymore. I promptly forgot about her. Evidently so thoroughly that I didn't recognize her as she was lying unconscious in her car. Remember she said she only lived about a mile from my house. That's as far as she made it before she had to pull over and catch forty winks. Actually, I suppose it is a good thing that she got her car stopped in a nice place to park. Without going in the river. I have no idea if she still lives in the area. Best wishes. G
