On Monday BOND AY, a package arrived!

USPS got this on Saturday from the seller and it arrives on Monday!!!!

A advertising BOND, was not disclosed in listing and only one side pictured (can you guess?)

Listed as new, free shipping and Make an offer option. Very low…

This is a 1st gen model, and will be placed in the console of my SUV. I plan at this time to just oil it and leave laser marks in place.

Bond is a real bargain full size MT that is legal most everywhere including England.   

Functionality of my favorite, the REBAR, yet pocket friendly.

  Sorry about not posting again on your Bond Monday thread.  I got all wrapped up in trying to get a new weedwhacker.  Actually, I went shopping for one a few nights ago.  I found a nice one.  Best I could tell with my flashlight that had most of the lens taped over.  I was just looking it over when a dog jumped me and I had to run for it.  What is the world coming to?  It's getting so you can't borrow a tool from a neighbor anymore. 
  It is beginning to look like I might have to break down and BUY one.  Can you believe that?  I only need one for a couple more months.  Then I will have to store it for the winter.  Locked up in a shed.  With a chain on it.  I thought about buying a couple gallons of Round-up instead.  Say.... I wonder if my neighbor has any..... Hmmmm?

Having the same style Phillips driver as the REBAR make the BOND a winner, for me as well.

Non locking blade, minimal kit like the PST also contribute to easy pocket carry.  Better if LM included a pocket clip🙄

There's a good reason.  There was someone at work who rides a bike to work daily about a dozen miles.  I asked her if she had a multitool in her kit.  She said she didn't, and I happened to have the Bond in my pocket.  I said now you do!  A replacement is at the very top of my list, complete with pocket clip  :ahhh :multi:

Yes, a Spirit is fitted into my daily carry bag!

PS:   The BOND, did lead me to collect and study the POCKET SURVIVAL TOOL, PST, the little tool that started this craze we call MultiTool. Even your SwissTool was a product offering do to the PST success.

Also, a Signal, as a backup.

A BOND with clip carries very well in my pocket when venturing out into the urban jungle.

In cold temps, a REBAR often rides in a sheath on my belt, or sometimes a ST300 for tasks on the property.

Monday  :woohoo: means BONDay!

Enjoying early morning coffee and prepping my original BOND after a damp stroll yesterday in the nearby marsh hoping to catch sightings of young eagles.

Unfortunately, the mist was heavy and hung low to the ground level preventing good view of the nests .

Plus a misstep off the trail, put in half (right side) in the muck and water.  Good thing I was already damp otherwise, I might have been a real soggy sight.

The bag wiped down nicely, as the PHILLIPS was beneficial picking some debris from the zippers.

The BOND is a very versatile tool, as much as my REBARs that I have used very hard the past 9 years or so.

   Since nobody is posting a lot of photos here, I had to dig out my....ah....Bond and give it another airing.  The folder is another Leatherman that didn't make it into production.  The steel is Campbell's.  Yes, it is made from recycled soup cans.  The blue L on the side is the only Leatherman marking.  Like the new models that Leatherman just released, you can take it apart for cleaning and the handles are steel.

The 2nd gen BOND was utilized to slip the bag strap through the retainer bracket as I decided to make the strap shorter on my crossbody bag to carry at tad above belt height.

Brand new, as list by seller, said it was a warranty replacement, so he listed on the auction site at a low price.  Made lower offer, he said no. I asked if he neglected to mention if Sheath included, if not my offer was fair.
