Horizontal pouches/sheaths, anyone?
on: November 25, 2025, 03:35:37 PM
I'm looking for a horizontal sheath or pouch, nylon or leather (could use both) about the size that would fit a Wave or similar size MT. I used to have a leather one, used to be vertical but I had it modded,  but it's been lost for a long time. It should fit over a 1.7" leather belt. Some Molle compatible ones that I have are too narrow. I just want a simple sheath that slides on the belt. Snap, velcro, magnet, anything goes. I've seen a few on Etsy but would like your input.

I have now used few years my Center Drive sheat, modified my first one with side release buckle when velcro gave up. Here are few pictures of my backup sheat

Not vertical, yet also not horizontal,, the fancy one I had made, but the black one I made myself, the nice thing about them is that their pancakes, a normal sheath with the one loop keeps sliding on the belt between the loops as where these you can either put between the loops and it won’t move much, or put the belt loop between the two slots so it won’t go far..

As I sit on my Crapper Throne in the Reading Room and explode on the Commode, thinking, how my flush beat John’s and Jerry’s pair? Jack’s had to run for the Water Closet yet ended up tripping on a Can bowing and hitting his Head on the Porcelain God! 🚽

That's the look I had in mind. I'd like to carry a MT at two or ten o'clock, horizontally, so it doesn't snag on safety belts, doesn't move around, doesn't stab me when I crouch, doesn't block my front pockets...

I like that idea too.

Horizontal mag pouches, no-name brand on Amazon, made of what is basically very broad elastic band. Works, but I doubt it will last. Fits a folder, a SAK, or a small MT like PST.

The search continues.
