There are two catches: it may be limited to American buyers, and you have to be okay with Le Khaki. Even so, $17 for a No. 8 is a hell of a deal in my book!

I saw that but I just picked up a No 9 that I'm really liking.  Still, that's a great price for a good looking color.

In a world where Leathermans, Spydercos and Benchmades are (IMO) absurdly overpriced, Opinels even at MSRP are a tremendous value.

   If you go buy a pair of khaki pants, this knife won't match them so well.  I would call it almost olive drab color instead of khaki.  I actually like the dark green color or whatever you want to call it of this one better.  I wonder how our friend Aztec likes the No.09 compared to the .08?  Best wishes.  G

I really like the No 9.  It fits my hand just a tad bit better than the No 8.  I was initially tempted to jump to the No 10 but I'm glad I went with the No 9 instead.  I wouldn't mind it they made a No. 9 in that Khaki/Olive Drab color.

When I think of what are the best slicers, the top 3 for me (in no order) are Victorinox, Opinel and box cutters/utility knives with replaceable blades.

The discount was only good until a specified date or when supplies lasted, whichever came first. Supplies didn't last. Hope some of y'awl were able to take advantage of this deal.
