Hello Playmates,
Here is how Vic describe the SwissChamp XXL
https://www.victorinox.com/en/Products/Swiss-Army-Knife%E2%84%A2-and-Tools/Trades-and-Crafts/Swiss-Champ-XXL/p/1.6795.XXL"Super practical and a class of its own: meet the Swiss Champ XXL, a powerhouse among pocket knives. Armed with 73 functions, this knife can handle anything. Each piece is meticulously hand assembled by skilled craftspeople to ensure optimum quality. This is a reassuringly solid yet surprisingly portable companion for outdoor challenges from fish scaling to metal sawing, as well as minute indoor tasks such as simply filing your nails."'Super practical', 'surprisingly portable', 'filing your nails' - Are you kidding me ?
It's a monster - Surely no-one owns an XXL as a user?

If they described the XXL as a collector's item that showcased all the amazing and various Victorinox tools - Great - But instead they put up all this BS.
And the section that describes the tools is all over the place with scale, main and back tools all randomly mixed up - And very often with errors - eg For the XXL the torch/flashlight and combo tool, second bit driver etc etc are missing - As is the metal saw - which is funny given that it is mentioned in the other section.
The tools sections on the Vic site are often wrong with missing tools and quite often duplicated tools (eg the Cybertool pages)
The Climber page description used to say this tool will help you with climbing - As a rock climber I can say I
would not find a Climber useful on a climbing expedition! Thankfully this has gone now - If they want to call it a Climber - fine - But don't tell me I need it for climbing!!
If you compare the
Victorinox and
Leatherman websites: Of course these sites are marketing and sales vehicles, so you expect fluffy, pushy stuff - However, IMHO, the
LM website does it really well and seems genuine, convincing, believable and accurate - Whereas the Vic website is just full of BS and inaccuracies - Sorry Vic
It's such a shame, as I love Victorinox, but to me this website degrades their brand.
My guess is that the Vic website is created and maintained by an external web design/marketing company that does not understand multitools, or possibly an internal department, with the same characteristic.

Also as a Wiki editor - It is disappointing to know I cannot go to the Vic website to check stuff.
Note: The Vic catalogues are a different matter altogether - They are great and super accurate
