It is rather nice that (as was yours nelly). Is there any purpose to the finish, other than looking really cool?  8)

It looks exactly like the finish on the Leatherman Flair's corkscrew and assist. In fact thinking about it, it is the same isn't it?  Duh.  ::)

I used to come here a lot.

I wanted yours  :pok: :D

Does anyone know the meaning of one of cliosguy's having Lynnwood WA (satin tool) on it & the gold one having Edmonds WA on it. Different factories/locations

I am waiting anxiously for the arrival of the PPP, I have never seen one before in person and I bet they are breath taking. I know they are hard to find, but just how hard is the question? Like if I wanted to peruse the idea of a TiNi Powerlock, how hard would it be to get one?

I asked Chris@SOG about why the got discontinued and why they say Edmonds....

"David

Well the reason the got discontinued is the reason most items got that way.  They weren’t selling enough to justify keeping them in production.   As for why some say Edmonds instead of Lynnwood.  Well SOG was based in Edmonds for a while and those must have been produced while wee were based in Edmonds."

Yes thanks Dave, and thanks Chris for the reply :salute:

I wonder for how long were the TiNi versions produced? At one time it was apparently quite a big deal at SOG. In addition to PPP's I've seen gold Power Pliers, CrossCuts, CrossGrips, and PowerLocks both regular and EOD models. And that's just the multitools. SOG produced some of their knives with TiNi finish as well.
