Is the byrd cara cara plain blade any good, its a illegal carry here in the uk but i fancy one for in the home, has anyone got one,  :tu:

I've got one of the original stainless ones, rather good IMO.  Big old thing and, as you say, non-legal EDC but nice to have.

I've got one of the original stainless ones, rather good IMO.  Big old thing and, as you say, non-legal EDC but nice to have.

i just fancied one for around the house, well hidden around the house  :D i like the look of it, the non G-10 version is pretty cheap, shame cant carry it but there you go, thanks gareth  :tu:

It's a good point.  The CRKT Edgie is about the same money (little less even) and Legal EDC.  Not quite as refined I'll admit, but not at all bad and you'll get more use out of it.

Paul, just remember that it's your cash, you can feel free to ignore us (especially Mike  ;)).  If you fancy the Cara Cara then go for it, like I said it's a nice knife, but I almost never use it as all it does is sit around the house.  I took a snap of the Cara, Edgie and a Wenger Commander (for scale).  The Fit and finish on the Care is definitely a grade better the Edgie, but the Edgie isn't a bad knife at all either.

Well after thinking about what one to go for and listening to you guys, even mike  :D  :tu: ive decided to go for this bag , im getting bored of my old rucksack and wanted something different , this also can be worn around the waste i might add a extra strap for this for when im on my bike a bit like a messenger bag, it should be good for carrying my stuff and was cheap from HK, so ill have to wait for it  :-\
