Multitool.Org Eighth Anniversary!

For many of us it's technically still June, but the Forum Offset Time is showing that we are into July.

Long time members will know what the significance of July is- it was in July eight years ago that we opened a silly little multitool discussion site.

I did some recruiting in the early days, but for the most part the site has built itself, with new, unsolicited members joining almost immediately.

I'll post my usual ramblings and reminiscing tomorrow, but I thought I'd post a quick message tonight before the festivities start.  And boy do we have some festivities planned!

So, here it is, the last tasteful post I am likely to make for the next thirty one days.

Happy anniversary to everyone here, whether you have one post or thousands. Every one of you had has some impact on the forum, and I for one appreciate it. A forum is nothing without its members.

Thanks to everyone for sticking around another year, and for the newer folks, I hope to see you again for many years to come!

Boss,  I know you speak of "a forum is nothing without it's members"

and that is true,  however the fact you think this way as the owner, if WHY the forum's members can be a positive testament to the forum.
if you strutted around here beating your chest like king kong, the forum members would be affected,  but you are a great boss, that cares for everyone and gives more to the forum than I think you realize.

thank you for being the quality of person you are.  you are as much a member her as you are the owner, and that is as good of a compliment as I can give you, considering the caliber of the members here.

Digital family!  I like that!

It does feel that way for sure.  I joined quite a few forums over the years, but this is the first one that ever felt like home.

one time when my wife was commenting on some of my recent additions to my collection, I asked her if she wanted to compare the number of MTs in my collection to the number of shoes she has in our closet. she thought about it, and then quietly walked away, but she wasn't happy about it. I made a mental note NEVER to pose that question again.
