Hi Guys - To commemorate my 500th post, and to wish everyone a Happy New Year, I wanted to do an all black EDC giveaway. I consider that this setup should just about get someone through their ordinary daily tasks.

I've been around the forum for quite awhile, having migrated over from the old SOSAK, but am not a real prolific poster, hence the years it has taken me to reach 500.

I've always enjoyed everyone's posts here, and have really gleaned a lot of knowledge from you guys and am very grateful for MTO. One of the best forums on the 'net. I also made sure to run this by Super-Admin Def so he's aware of the GAW.

This package, all items are new, will consist of a black alox Pioneer, black alox Minichamp II (I couldn't find the box - sorry), a black Fisher Space-Tec pen in the event you need to jot down a grocery list while hanging upside down, a pen refill, and a black pocket Smith's sharpener. And a black single AAA Thrunite TiS flashlight in case it's dark when you need to make your grocery list. Can't send a battery along though since the USPS considers them to be explosives. I dunno why either.

The giveaway is open to all forum members, irregardless of location. I will cover the shipping to whomever should win. So all our foreign correspondents are encouraged to participate.

I am going to run the contest for 10 days, then count the number of entries, and use a random number generator to choose the winner based on the total posts in this thread. I will then announce the winner in this thread, and it'll be closed.

I would like the entrants to qualify by making a donation to MTO, in any dollar amount, so even $1 is cool, then post in the thread a contribution to our forum has been made. NOT THE AMOUNT. I'm not going to be checking or anything like that. Lol. For those of our members who may be on a strict budget and would like to contribute to MTO, but are not able to for whatever reason, please feel free to enter as well. You've contributed by just being a member of our group. So just indicate contribution made. One entry per person please.

I will be sitting this one out as I have gotten very kind gestures recently and I don't feel it would be right to enter this giveaway. I think perhaps I've created confusion. Which in itself is understandable if you knew me.

I'm going on the number of posts in the thread that indicate a contribution was made to MTO. Then I'll generate a random number between zero, and the number of "I've contributed" posts. I'll count them up after 10 days. I'm only going to count those posts to get a top number for my secret govt random number generator. I have limited access to the same random generator used by the IRS to pick who gets audited.

So for instance, my posts here won't count. Just you guys that enter.

For those who wish to participate, and are not able to help MTO right now, no worries, please just post that you're a contributor and you're in. I do not want to exclude anybody just based on ability to donate or not. So no reason to feel badly at all.

Just by being members here, we contribute in one way or another. Sharing knowledge, moral support, congrats, pictures, sympathy, laughs, it's all a contribution to our forum.

And outside the US members please feel welcome as well. I will take care of the shipping the prize. I don't care where I'm sending it as long as you'll be able to enjoy it. I think it's a nice package.

Hopefully, I haven't added to the misunderstanding.

Extremely generous and a fantastic bag of goodies.

This is a great idea for a GAW to boost site funds - So contribution made

Also I have always wanted an alox MC - So taking a shot at this opportunity.
