5K Giveaway

I never thought I'd make it past 800 posts yet I just hit the 5K mark so I wanted to give something back to the great community that is MTO.

This is your chance to win a begleri, a sort of worry beads or fiddling device  -please see pictures below.

The GAW is open to all members with 50 posts or more by the time of the draw, which will be held on October 22 around midnight (my local timezone).

In order to enter please pick a number between 1-500 then add it to the list -beware of the OCD Squad's wrath  ::) - and tell us the one EDC item you wouldn't be without (be it a SAK, MT, fixed blade, flashlight, bubble gum, zombie apocalypse tactical crowbar, whatever that is). Pics are encouraged.

Right, then, picture time.

I will sit this out as the item I never wish to be without if possible is a MT and that is what I fiddle with if anxious or nervous and I would rather someone to win that would use the item :salute: :tu:

We were also told to beware the wrath of the OCD clan. We can barely maintain a sequential list. Can you imagine we can maintain a random one. Besides "1" IS a random number between the limits, and so are the others  >:D

Congratulations. I'm close behind you for the 5K mark.
I won't participate, since I have access to these Greek accessories. I regard many EDC items as indispensable, but, to be compatible with your GAW, let's say a komboloi. I'm never without one, prefering a silver with carneole as a youngster, a coral root in my 30s to early 40s and an obsidian the last 4 years.
The amber one belonged to my grandfather. Some beads were lost and I replaced them with silver ones.

I mostly use mine in places where I can't go fiddlin' with my SAK/Spirit :pok: :cheers:

A begleri can be made with a variety of materials. This particular one is made with agate and aventurine semi-precious stones, 925 silver and synthetic cord  :whistle:  :)

I can't leave home without my phone and ID Cards, but I think that's what everyone carries (even non-forumites). So, I went for the next thing I EDC (not because I HAVE TO but because I feel better having it with me). I also carry some bigger SAK/folder but that varies. The small ones are a constant.

Blame Hiraethus firiki - he wouldn't let me join the minimalist with a 3 layer  and 5 layer SAK (so unfair!). And I meant it when I started the SAKMC. Being a Gemini I reserve the right to change my mind as and when I want/need to.

Seriously now, an amber komboloi is a great thing! I prefer a begleri because it's easier to carry in my pants pocket and because I'm just used to it  ;)
