I get a message that says it's available for UK viewers only. Some of our cable networks  air some of the Timewatch programming sporadically....there's hope I can see it yet.

Well if there's any mention of Capt. William Lambert RFC let me know.He was our"hometown" ace" 2nd highest scoring American ace of the War.Because he did all his service with the RFC(RAF),he's little known today. Also anything about Lt. Jesse Creech RFC & USAS,he was a distant, distant kinsman.

I tell you Col. Lambert was a curmudgeon in his latter years.A right crusty old cuss, though he did drive around town in a Ford Mustang and his license plate read SE5

In his latter years,Col Lambert was interviewed regularly in the local papers. He held the SE 5a in high regard.I don't recall him ever saying a bad word about them.

Well when viewed against the Camel which tried to kill you at every turn, it's hard to dislike the SE5 :D

It was a bloody fine aircraft though, and it's a real toss up between that and the immortal Fokker VII :)

Again for heathens...

I used to know a great chap who had worked on Sopwith Camels during WW1. He managed to persuade a pilot to take him up in a 2 seater trainer. Said pilot then proceeded to put on a display of aerobatics :D. I don't think it'd be easy to blag a flight in a Eurofighter Typhoon these days.

No, but it'd probably be a good deal safer :D

Certainly wasn't a Health and Safety Executive back in those days :D
