The glass breaker is a good idea for a Mini Mag you keep in the car, but I'd really hate to rely on it for a weapon.  I figure if you are in a situation that you need to use a Mini Mag to save your arse then you are probably screwed anyway....

I dont like spikies on flashlights for two reasons . 1) they are as likley to hurt you as the other guy . 2) why do you want to turn a device that is welcome anywhere into a de facto edged weapon ?

I had a Surefire E2D , wrecked a couple of pants , cut myself a couple of times , figured it  was a pantfull . Any sighted LEO would instantly make it as an edged weapon .

I don't get it why do they have to make the tailcap that pointy, that's almost a 40° point there. I think it's completely unnecessary as the ball on top is doing the actual breaking. Make it a 120° point with ball bearing on top and it'll work just as well and look better.

Old Polish saying " Do not take a flashlight to a gun OR knife fight "  or any fight if you think about it
Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

I'd be surprised if they were legal in most of the States, but you never know.  ???

As for the bezel...

It provides the ability to set the flashlight on it's face and still have ambient light through the scallops.

Provides better protection for the lens.

OR

It is used to destroy someone's face

As for the glass breaker...

a unique auto glass-breaking caps to work on your existing flashlight

OR

It is used to destroy someone's face

Its all down to interpretation.

I will not comment as to whether its legal OR illegal in the UK.

All I will say is that if I had these and was questioned I would quote its advertised and intended use.  I would not mention anything to do with its "tactical" use.

Hope this helps  :police:

The way I see it, they might as well be illegal as if you ever used it for it's "darker side" use you'd get done for carrying it in the first place.  Trying to justify it as a lense protector whilst pulling it out of someones head is going to be very difficult.

Not really. Just say their head got in the way of you trying to break a window in an attempt to get away from them. :D

They are an AOW so it depends on if the states allows NFA weapons(and I have no idea who does and doesn't). Since they are an AOW you have to buy a tax stamp and send a bunch of work off to the government. Buying one of these is not like buying a normal gun. Personally I don't see much use in one other than "I have a maglite that's also a gun" since it's expensive, requires a lot of hassle to get, and is pretty useless.
