Yes the dude has questionable idea's about a lot of subject's. But it's hard to dispute just how tough his knives are, and that's all I really care about

I agree with that, but even if I did like CS, I think their quality has gone down over the years. I used to have over 20 CS knives, so I understand why people like them.

The cheapie's are definetly built down to a price quality wise, but your still getting a lot of blade for your money imo

I've not handled any of there really highend stuff for a good few years now, but it seems to stack up well to the competion

You hit the nail on the head with that statement,  sometimes its like a free for all over there.  Thank god we're a civilized lot here  .

As blades and tools go, I don't pay much attention to all the crap thats slug around.  It makes an interesting read but if I like something it doesn't matter who makes it.  I own CS and Benchmade and regardless of what people's opinions are of the companies or the individuals running them they are still fine products.

Lynn Thompson has knocked off a few customs , one made by an aquaintance , and one by a friend of mine . He still has some good stuff . At one time all his range was good . His top of range stuff is insanely overpriced in relation to quality .

I would prefer to give my money to Spyderco or even Benchmade . They manufacture stuff , and actually innovate .

Frankly, I've seen some rather talented and meticulous "potheads" in my day. It isn't as if they are raving lunatics or slobbering drunkards. I could be wrong, but I suspect that anyone who is really all that worried about the workmanship of someone who smokes dope in their spare time has probably never even seen pot. I'd rather have a kid come in to work after an evening of bong hits than a hung over hillbilly who put 24 fresh empties in his Budweiser trash bin the night prior.
