Hi Benner,Glad to see your support for the Xtract. I also think it is a pretty neat tool. It has a few disadvanteges (over dedicated tools), but it is a nice compromise. I've got 13 of them and like most.Although my collection focus is Leatherman, I didn't care for the plier action on the PST with the channels outside when it was introduced. I bought the Buck 360 when it came out to solve that issue. Now I have 6 Buck 360's and 164 Leatherman tools (not counting knives, flashlights and pruners) - go figure Thanks for supporting a good MT.Cheers - Joe
I think you've touched on some of the reasons above - presumed low quality due to low cost etc.Just took the plunge and ordered one for myself. More Buck goodness on its way!

Compared to what? They're £40-£50 over here aren't they? That would get a hell of a lot of SAK.

I'm totally confused now.
True enough, but it's a quality tool for $40!

Exactly what I did, and eventually Noth came to my rescue. I really like the tool, I just think they are a bit expensive, hence my interrogation of Ben
For what it's worth, if the X-tract was really more expensive than the Kick, I would think it's worth the money because of the one-handedness of it.
