They only ban stuff because it makes it look like they are doing something.

Here's an idea for our bullColorful Enunciationters politicians.....

Stop wasting time and money banning the sales of tools and invest in supporting our youth so they have something constructive to do with their time, learn useful life skills and the importance of respecting other humans. Not a vote winner?! Too simple a construct for them perhaps?
       Simple,logical.Ergo,a non-starter.
My boss want's me to start working with young offenders to do just that :)

But strangly the council/govenment don't want to fund it ::)

I recently bought some SAK spares; pens, tweezers and toothpicks from:

www.minitools.co.uk

They seem good to deal with - sent me a code for  10% off my next order :). They stock Victorinox, Leatherman and Gerber and they're are a bit below shop prices.

No second hand stuff unfortunately :(

Just did a search for SAKs & LMs on Ebay UK, it's a desert, just a handful of sheaths and spares.
I felt very sad, although I didn't buy a lot it was interesting to browse the second hand stuff.
I better stop now before I strain the bad word filter with my opinion of Ebay UK  :-X

Depressing isn't it? Just when I really got back in to this stuff, I can't hunt down any bargains  :(
