You are buried in a pine casket, but get to use it before you die as a storage cabinet
You may prefer to purchase your own casket for the day when family members may be burdened with the grief and the details of your passing. The unit pictured has wooden handles which also serve as stands for prized items you may want to take with you.
The cover is stored behind the unit, and the inner storage shelves are easily removed when the casket's final use is required.

I know there's pragmatic reasons behind it,and I also know that sooner or later our time's up,but I have to say I wouldn't want constant reminder staring me in the face 24/7

That thing is not even good looking. I´d prefer a cheapo IKEA Billy over that thing in my living room. A classy Gerstner and Sons casket/chest would be nicer

Don't mistake lack of talent for genius.

Really?
And why would such a plain, rectangular, wooden box cost $700 in the first place? I'd understand that if it was hand-curved from a single tree trunk in the Northern Europe (and pre-iron age British) tradition...
That said, if that business model succeeds, I see a lot of carpentry in my future...

Absolutely, get a bunch of old pallets out of a skip and you're away!
