My First Sog
on: June 16, 2009, 08:30:03 AM
Just received my SOG Power Plier in a TiNi finish with great helps from Mat :tu: (pictures coming)

Just some questions on it -

1. Are there any tools that can replace Robertson and Small Knife tool?
2. Are there any instructions available about dis-assembly or tips you could give me? (I don't want to screw something up with it)
3. Does anyone have a spare 3 sided file that will go into the Power Plier (because the current one is broken) that they won't mind selling to me?
4. How durable is the TiNi coating?
5. The pliers aren't aligned properly! Is there anyway I can fix this? (I will show more in the future pics)

This all for now...

Thanks!

Congrats on your first SOG, Tinnie!  The best part about SOG multitools is that almost all their components are interchangeable so you can have Powerlock components on your Power Plier and vice versa.  There's a variety of small multitool components available so check out them out here: http://www.sogknives.com/store/components.html

Dis-assembly is also pretty simple.  Just be sure to make a note of your tool arrangement (including placement of washers) so it will be easier for you later when you add or remove components.

When you re-assemble your PP, be sure to use a bit of thread locker.
