I'm having a good one. Got a nice new book, and a hug apiece from three daughters. :)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I've just polished off my large Dominoes pizza (half texas bbq, half tandori hot - yum!  :D) and despite the inlaws coming round an me having to hide in the garden pretending to do some work, I have had a pretty good day with the kids.
I'm back!!

Yes I (cough) was given a nice new pop-up book from my daughter  ::).  Unfortunately the Vic Solo that I've ordered didn't make it in time.  Still the big hug and hand made card were excellent.  :D

Because half the kids in the Gillingham area don't know who their Dad's are?  :P

I noted the way that pre-school made cards for mother's day, cards for grandparent's day and bugger all for father's day.  Nice negative reinforcements?

Still I got a nice home grown card from my eldest written in his special six year old version of English (bless him, he tries hard).  His little brother had started to draw me on the front but then changed it into grandma for reasons only he knows  ::)  :)

Got a nice jumper from them that they had been dragged into town to buy and bought myself a set of tool drawers not realising there actually was a secret gift waiting at home.

I'm a happy daddy :D and I hope all my fellow dads had good days too  :tu:
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

What the heck is Grandparents day?  ::)  I agree about the fathers Day cards from nursery, they got my wee one to do a cracking great card for Mummy (which is fine) but not a mention for me.  :-\  As you say what message is that sending the kids?

my wife had to get around the absent father issue at the churches Sunday school, all she did however was to have the kids either make a card for dad or for their "best friend".  The kids are young enough that there wasn't any finger pointing at the kids making the best friend cards.

Had a nice barbecued chicken on the grill, and a slight hint of a possibility that  there might be a second grandchild.
