The Mini is a great companion to most SAKs :) I've fiddled with a Huntsman Lite and they're fine but they are quite a large SAK for EDC.  That's just my opinion of course and if you're belt carrying a non-issue.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

That can't be the perfect pair as I have already found it in a Knifeless Fuse and Safari Hunter combo.  :D

Looks like a great pair that pal.  :tu:

LOL, My perfect pair i have found is the Farmer and a Classic or Minichamp.

My perfect Plier tool pair is the Wave and Micra. (I now seldom carry the Wave unless i'm at work though)

See, the Wave-Micra combo wouldn't work for me at all, why have 2 pairs of scissors and all the other tools? (That's questioning my logic not yours).

Well,That's a good question. The micra's scissors are better and easier to get to. I seldom carry the bit-kit so i like having the smaller screwdrivers. The small knife is perfect for sheeple work and precision work. The tweezers are rarely used as i have some Sliver Grippers. However i'm still experimenting with this but so far it's working great.

As far as I'm concerned (remember this is my logic  :D) the tweezers are the only thing you are gaining and you have far FAR better one's with the sliver grippers.  So for those reasons, I'd never carry those 2 together.  Far more (for me) better options out there.

I must respectfully disagree with you, in regard to the item gained; in all truth, the Micra's nail cleaner/file is the best I have seen to date, whether it be on a Multitool or attached as a swiveling pivot on a nail clipper.  Beyond that, however, I would, personally, pair a Wave with a Victorinox Rally, most likely, if only to add the excellent tiny Phillips screwdriver.  I can replace hardware with the Rally/Rambler/Manager/Vagabond/Minichamp; I cannot, however, with the Micra's Phillips.

The tweezers on the Micra are rather disappointing, with that said; it would be more beneficial to have a Micra with the Squirt S4's removable tweezers in it's place. >.>

I'd be more than happy to just use the diamond file on the Wave for my nails, so that's why I'd see that as being no benefit.

Ah, that would be good use. o.o;  And I suppose the minidriver could be used as the nail cleaner....

Hmm, quite good points. :)

I have found the Charge ALX/XTi and a Explorer to be an excellent combo. Or, a Charge Ti and a Benchmade Rescue Hook.

That's true Ben and i agree with you there. I may try carrying the Kick/Micra combo for a while when not at work. When i am at work i'll probably just sling a 58mm on my keys.

Has anyone out there got any suggestions for what to pair with the Wave?

Currently I'm either carrying a Huntsman and a PST, or a Camper and a Pulse.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

The wave (I'm assuming it the newer wave model :) ) has a pretty comprehensive set of tools.  You could go for a old-style soldier or farmer so you get the funky Awl as well as a smaller and more precise knife.  Something with nice long drivers would compliment it well, the bit holder is versatile but a bit short sometimes - A cybertool (perhaps 29 or 34) would give you the long screwdriver as well as the small knife and an awl.

I have a new Explorer Plus, and frankly, I have no idea which plier-based multitool to pair it with. :/

Any ideas?

My favorite MT pair is my Spirit S in my pocket with a Classic on my keyring.

Although Lucy Pinder's pair would be better if she would let me carry those.

How about a Juice of some kind? Or perhaps a Freestyle?  Kick might work well too.

Yeah, I was thinking about pairing it with my KF4, although I'm really beginning to become a sucker for the Kick's pocket clip.   :multi:

That SAK/MINI combo looks darn good.  Not much lacking in that combo for sure.  If I could get myself interested in the SAKs, I'd have a MINI or Juice to pair with it for sure.  I just can't give up the pliers.

My Surge has been flying solo for the  last while.  I've got a bit card in the sheath and I can't think of anything to pair with it.  It's got EVERYTHING.

I can't wait to get my hands on a Super Tool 300 to pair with a micra.  Now that should be a combo.  Throwing in a small fixed blade would make up for the loss of the outside blades.  That's a set up, but then again, that's more than a pair.  ;)
