^ That's the feller!  :D

(Although, there should be a "Guinness World Records" smiley  :pok: :P :D)

Nah - all that supposed slippage that gets reported must be operator error  ;)

Seriously though, and although it was the Swisstool itself that did the job this time, if I've got a job that I think might start slipping or chewing drivers I reach for a bit driver anyway which is where the CS PLUS comes in even more handy. You can get some silly torque with that wrench and I'd rather wreck a £0.50 - £1.00 bit over a £50 - £100 multitool or even a dedicated driver any day  :salute:

I think that even the Leatherman/SOG/Geber fans who prefer them over Vic tools should still get one of their wrench/bit sets on their way back from getting their head looked at  :P
They really are SUPERB - especially with high torque or limited access.

.... but yes, the Micra punched WAY above it's weight and did a sterling job  :tu:

Leatherman is my preferred brand, but I have to admit that the Swisstool wrench/bit kit looks very useful.

I took your advice and got my head checked.  The shrink said that the fact that I choose Leatherman illustrates that I am not only sane, but I display superior judgement.   :D

:D :D So when's the shrink seeing his shrink then?  :pok:  :D

Well the Ripple (aka Wave Lite) got it's chance to shine today  :tu: Nothing too fancy, just ripping some large brass staples out of some packaging so I could inspect the contents. This was at the trade counter of a supplier who had suddenly and without warning rendered himself utterly clueless in the presence of the staples, not quite knowing what to do or what to look for. Right front pocket to the rescue, out pops shiny metal, and before I had even set about the first staple with the pliers ... the slilence from the sales rep was deafening, but the look in the eyes definitely said "I want one". Certainly beats the usual "what you got that for?" game.  ::)

My young nephew actually collared me a week or so ago (after I'd just completed an array of tasks with the contents of my pockets) and said "You've got EVERYTHING, why do you always have EVERYTHING". I smiled at him and said "Because if I didn't, there'd be something missing".

He seemed quite happy with that answer  :)

Had to cut a 2" price of PVC pipe today. Hacksaw was two blocks away in the truck so I threw an aggressive bi-metal blade into the surge blade exchanger and presto on with the task!

My 98 Wave saw quite a bit of use today pulling packing staples and cutting tape on shipments.  Fantastic tool!

I left the house today without a multi on my belt, whoops! And, of course, I needed pliers several times today. Fortunately, it was all light duty work, and I had my Deluxe Tinker in my pocket! The pliers got their baptism of fire by pulling lid clips off several gallon cans, loosening and then tightening the cap on a tint machine nozzle, and, along with the Phillips, put together a display rack. That SAK certainly proved its' worth today!

That is one tried and true rule, if you don't have a Multi, you WILL need pliers.  I use mine all the time for tons of stuff that you would never think of.  I can't leave my house without a pliers MT and a SAK or utility blade.

Glad to see the Deluxe tinker worked so well though, my uncle just got one and he loves it!

I just love when I get job done with my multi in front of 5-6  :o :o faces!!

Yesterday we started home from work in our truck (small pickup like truck - Russian made Gazelle) and check engine lit on board. so we got out and pop open the front to see. There were small rubber hose broke. I pulled out my CT41 and put the philips bit to unscrew clout http://www.alati.hr/web3/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/__elna_4bbb27b70d6b3.jpg  (this is from google translate  ) but my coworker pulled out the hose and lost it.... So....

I found a peace of copper wire, cut it w/wire cutters, cut the bad peace of hose w/blade, put it on place and secure it with wire instead of clout. Put the wire arround hose and twist ends w/pliers untill it was tight enough....  :D :D

Let's get back on beginning, when I pulled out CT41 they all started giggling and poking me, but by the time I finished, they were all  :o :o :tu: :tu:

My bandmate repaired his saxophone utilizing my Wave. There was a small spring that had popped out, and he used the pliers to put it back in its place.

Tint machine, lid clips, those are familiar words.  I spent 14 years working in our family's paint store before the days of color matching computers.  It would have been very handy to have an MT on my belt.

I used my Explorer Plus' magnifier to read a couple tang stamps and to compare the lengths of a couple knives at an antique show today.  Ended up getting a mint condition light aqua glass transformer globe... I could've gotten an excellent condition lavender one, though, for probably $35... I kinda regret not getting it.  Still, it'd be a pricey paper weight over the $3 I have in the one I purchased. ._.

I used my old wave yesterday to remove a bolt that holds a headlight in a car.  We were fitting a bumper to the car to inspect the fender rework and hope it matched.  So nice that our trained technicians don't show up until an hour after we open the shop and then whine about not getting cars completed in time.  Seems that I spend more time along with the other shop managers just putting cars back together because  our techs are lame.

Got the first part of my son's sound system installed in his car today. A Squirt ES4 did all of the wire striping, an ST300 did most of the screw turning, and plier work (this was shared some with a SwissTool RS, been trying to give it a "real world" work out, and I must say that the Phillips screwdriver did not disappoint :tu:). Also had a Core there for some knife work.
Never underestimate the power of the fleece

My Blast saw a lot of use today during the second phase of our house painting project.  Today was Living room phase I.  I masked off the larger portion of my living room and used the knife on my blast several times cutting plastic and paper, then used the screwdrivers to remove the outlet covers from my walls and then to replace them when I finished.  Great day and the change in our lighting is incredible with our new paint.

Heres a good one. A stitch in my wifes mouth from dental surgery decided to pop out of her gum... Which freaked her out and grossed me out. Anyway, we had to stop driving and she had to use my LM Style scissors. Not all jobs are pretty
