this is what I was trying to say.... :pok:

A non-geocacher. Based on "Muggle" from the Harry Potter series, which is a non-magical person. Usually this term is used after a non geocacher looks puzzled after befriending a geocacher searching for a cache, or when a non-geocacher accidentally finds a cache. Geomuggles are mostly harmless.

Similar topic:  people who visit points of intersection of the whole number lines of lattitude and longitude.

Can't recall what it's called, but once saw a website with pics people had posted from all over the world.

I joined up on that site just to see about it. Looks fun. Quite a few though looked to be on not exactly public property as i know the area somewhat . Wonder how i'd explain geocaching to a  shotgun totin' landowner or cops....or bigfoot ::)

OK I don't have any find yet but I think this way....
Public areas... Blend in . try to lookas normal as possible. always have some kind of paper that show
why you are there and what your're doing...like a print out of the page or something...sometimes you
will need to have them to read clues left by the cache owner....
IF IN THE WOODS ...watch out if it is HUNTING SEASON !!! use bright colors  clothes !
when it's no hunting season , who will be there whatching you ? just look around for "muggles"
I guess will be safe this way..

You'll need a GPS as the maps just won't cut it.  i suppose you could translate the co-ordinates to Google world / maps for more detailed accuracy but IMHO the multi caches are the best where you find a cache and inside is just some co-ordinates to the next cache

I use an in car Garmin as long as it allowed you to type in co-ordinates it'll get you started I set mine to 'pedestrian' mode so it doesn't tie me to roads its just as good as a activity GPS for accuracy you just have to learn to use it right.

Got my first find on 12/21/09.I have 20 finds as of today.
Been using a Garmin Summit HC that I got as an early Christmas
present.

Waiting on some stuff  I ordered to arrive and then I'am going
to hide my first cache.
