Not a problem...right now I'm a Clinical Assistant (or as I like to call it "Nurse's B*tch") But since I can't get a job with my degree, I need to do it to pay the bills. Starting nursing school in January if all goes well. :)

:)  Great stuff.  Nursing is a tough job, I have loads of respect for the nurses I work with.  Hope you manage to get everything set for Nursing school.  I'm not sure how they do it over in the states, but the nursing students I work with over here really enjoy their work.

Well, thanks for the encouragement.  Healthcare in general over here is screwed up, but I'm not sure how it should be fixed.  So I don't start a rant that will get this thread way off track, I'll hush.  :)

Great respect for any health care professional. They tend to be over worked, under paid, and sometimes, even under appreciated.

What degree do you have?

I have a Bachelor of Science Liberal (General Science and Geology/Geography)-Algoma University Sault Ste Marie, Bachelor of Science Honors (Biology)-Laurentian University Sudbury, and a Bachelor of Education -Nipissing University North Bay. I often joke that the only Northern Ontario University I haven't visited yet is Lakehead in Thunder Bay.

I have a Regents Degree (I took way too many classes so they had to), I have a BS and a MS in Exercise Physiology, both from West Virginia University.  When I graduated, I was about half way to either a bachelor's in Public Health or another Master's in Communication.  That one was kind of out there, but it was an interest for a while.  I would love to do the Public Health thing, but I am tired of being in limbo and getting the RN would be a guaranteed job anywhere I wanted.  The tentative plan is to work for a few years in patient care then move on to workplace wellness and/or clinical education.

That sounds good.

I still need to get my speSmurfpillst in either Science, Geography, or Special Education (if all goes well, next Summer). I think I only need one more course to get it but won't know till I check with the Ontario College of Teachers. That will get me to the highest pay grade, then I am done except for the odd education refresher course. Mind you, it is all strictly academic, as they made me Science Dept Head again (I just can't seem to shake this job title..as I was more than happy to give it to someone else for a few years. Unfortunately, the other guy left for another school. Tag I am it again. sigh...

It was ever thus:  the winners write the histories and also prosecute/persecute the losers for "war crimes."

Those histories usually demonize the leaders and even the ordinary soldiers of the losing side.

I, too, would like to hear more about the nail biting plumber, but first a little something to kind of get this thread a little bit back on track.
I just wanted to say that I love this knife.  I had no idea how much I would enjoy this and can I say that the spey blade is my favorite blade on the whole thing?  I'm not exactly sure why other than I don't really like clip-point blades all that much and I have yet to really figure out what to use the sheepsfoot for.  But I love the spey blade.  Love it.  This knife is so sweet!  I just keep opening and closing it and loving it.  Used it to peel an apple the other day (with the spey blade).  Such a sweet knife.  I see why some many people like them. 
Okay, back to the regularly scheduled thread now...I believe we left off with the plumber and jedi vs sith and which one wrote star wars (I think)...carry on. :D
