You are right, missed that. I wonder how carbide would work as anvil cutter thou, consider how brittle it is.

That would account for the loss of the hardwire notch :) Hopefully the carbide holds up like you guys said it's brittle but I have carbide tipped brick hammers and they hold up well :tu: 1 I have had over 10 years now and have chipped on all kinds of different material with it and it has little more than scratches on the carbide :o On the other hand I had a brand new tipped hammer break on me in a few days :ahhh :D Only time will tell I guess :)

Hi All,

The Gerber Grappler adjusting screw location is pretty neat and maybe designed for one-handed thumb type operation?

The Leatherman Crunch sort've looks like a Vice-Grip with other tools, but, does look a little more heavy duty?

Both would seem to make great additions to the collections to compare creative eng. designs.

(P.S., I bought a Stanley 12-1 recently and was totally embarrassed.  The sheath was pretty good though. :-\ )
