Go for a run! Seriously, if you push yourself enough you don't have chance to think about stuff in your head you are too busy thinking about how knackered you are! It's what I do if my mind is going over and over stuff, when i get back a quick shower and hop into bed
Being layed back usually comes naturally to me, but what with my move at work (which is just a mountain of issues on it's own) and with what's going on currently in my life, I am finding it really difficult to sit back, relax and chill out. Recently I find my mind races with all the problems I have going on and I can't stoup thinking about all that I have to do at work the next time I am on shift and the problem I find is that the more I try to shut it all off, the more aggitated I become. So anyone here have any good techniques that may help me out a bit? Not expecting miracles, but if there is anything that can stop me constantly fretting it would be appreciated.
Try relaxed breathing inhale and exhale slowly start with just five minutes and get it up to 15 mins a day, also to stop going over things in your mind think of something nice that has happened in your life and keep going over that instead, set yourself 20 minute me time shut everyone out!
"something nice that happened in your life"? Hmmm, that's a toughy.
maybe this commercial will help you relax:
Have you tried the ballpeen method? Def
I shoot stuff to relax. You can work out a lot of aggression and agitation at the gun range.
OK, these guys seem to have covered all the obvious bases I would have recommended except for one...Nookie
