Can you ID this knife
on: October 14, 2009, 09:02:15 PM
I just found this in some hunting Gear, it says Panther on the blade.  A Buck 110 look-a-like?  Anyone know what it is?

Yes it needs some TLC.

From what I can dig up these were made from the late 1960's until sometime in the 1980's. Looks like the importer was Compass Industries. I've also seen the same knife that also had a saw blade along with the clip point blade. Their folding boot knives show up occasionally in knife sale forums http://hartford.backpage.com/AntiquesForSale/_50_compass_panther_bantam_boot_knife/classifieds/ViewAd?oid=2716139
