Who's been carrying their 300?
on: October 25, 2009, 02:45:11 AM
Just curious about any long term (although it's only been out a few weeks.. :P) thoughts on the ST 300.  I've had the urge to buy a 300 lately.

I have been carrying mine for about 2 weeks now and it has not fallen short on anything I have asked of it :tu: I have been carrying it with the bit adapter that you can buy for it and the Blast and the rest in that line  I like how the cutters cut they can cut through metal bands (strapping) with ease :o :D All in all I like it :)

I`ve been carrying my BO 300 everyday at work and the stainless steel model rotates in and out with several other MTs. I like the 300 quite alot. Its a big tool and very capable of handling alot of tough stuff. But it is still a needle nose so some wisdom is needed. I`ve used the cutters on quite a few different type materials wire, straps, ect. and it has handled them all.
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

Ive carried one of mine everyday since I got one, and Ive used the heck out of it. Mine is starting to get a little rattle in it, like  a surge, but it sure has smoothed up alot :multi:

I carried mine for a couple weeks after I got it. It's just to big for me to carry every day. Switched back to my Pulse.

I've been carrying my ST 300 for about 3 weeks now. Its a love/hate relationship compared to my old wore out surge. The wire cutters are what turned me on to it but im missing the one handed blade and scissors. Its a compromise and I think I'll be carrying this or another ST 300 till we hear about a ST 400 in years to come.

I've not been carrying it - but that was never likely in my case.

I have however been using it around the house and I'm liking more and more. It's cool. Get one :D
I used to come here a lot.

I havent carried it yet really.

But there are a few excuses for it.
1) Hunting Season Ended (at least Deer anyway, we'll see what else I go for this year)
2) I just got my wisdom teeth pulled and Ive kind of been layed up for the past two or three weeks (its been taking a long time for my mouth to heal)

I dont have anymore excuses, but I do some dirt bike riding and the season for that and off-roading have been starting up, so I expect that the ST 300 will see quite a bit of carry time, even if its not used, I like to have such a tool on me for those events.

I have to say though, for the short time that I carried it when I first got it, I didnt feel that it was too heavy or anything like that. I also didnt really like it at first, but I was reasoned with and like its features now.

The crunch and OHT seem like they would work well togeather.

I haven't given my OHT any pocket time.

I think I am a multiple offender or whatever the phrase is.

Like I said, I have a lot of nice tools that I really like, but they hardly get carried.

Looking at some carry time for the 300 tomorrow though maybe.

OHT stands for One Handed Trekker,or a knife with a hole in the blade so that you can open it with one hand. :salute:

What about pairing the ST 300 with the OHT???

Seems like some serious work could get done with those tools together.
