Big thanks to John for sending me a GREEN comtech stinger to add to my collection of all things with light having a spectrum dominated by energy with a wavelength of roughly 520–570 nanometres...

It is HUGELY appreciated.

Also, this guru of generosity also sent me a Gerber Shard.......

YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! How totally unexpected and how totally smegging brilliant.

I have been after one of these for ages and had given up all hope (until the MT.org ones arrive)

So for the rest of the gang that are lusting after a Shard.....

It sure is...    I carried one on my keychain for three without one single problem. I only took it off because I upgraded to the titanium version.    Did you put a lithium battery in it?

Nope, it's running of an eneloop right now (treehugger remember )

I'm quite impressed with the performance so far From memory it seem's to have a bit more poke than my old EO1 did, and if anything, is even more robust
