GadgetGuy Yet Again!
on: November 21, 2009, 11:01:22 PM
Got a package yesterday from him, it was 2 of the blue Dave22 pocket screwdrivers he had left. Sorry no pics due to them already headed to their new owners (early Christmas presents) but they're mighty purdy & he was quite generous in throwing in a replacement clip for my Charge Xti, which has been neglected since it broke & hasn't seen much pocket time until today! So thank you again John, you're always welcome at my campfire! :drink:

I'm a little bit lost for words at the moment (which doesn't happen very often I know), because John has just sent me a "little" gift.

John picked up on the fact that I was looking for a Maxpedition Rucksack and said he had an old backpack he would send me. It arrived today and I really can't believe what he's sent me. I feel like three years worth of Christmas' have all come at once. I feel humbled.

John has sent me a seemingly unused Maxpedition Vulture II back. It's better than I'd dared hope for, it's absolutely perfect for the things I'll be doing with it. But that's not all......

Attached / with to the pack were:

A LM Molle sheath and Malice clip;
A Maxpedtion RAT Wallet;
A Benchmade Molle sheath (which I haven't quite figured out yet, but it's very cool :D);
A Maxpedition Micro Wallet;
A Maxpedition Keyper;
A molle velcro badge thingummy.

Thanks doesn't seem enough somehow does it?  :think:

But, it will have to suffice for now, until I can find a way to repay some of this kindness.

So, thanks John, you've made my week  :cheers:
I used to come here a lot.

Yeah John(GG) is one of the best and deserves a recommendation IMO even tho I never received a widgy bar he sent me some weeks ago I take my hat of to John,here's a guy who occasionally and impromptu sheds a little joy amongst us here he does this unselfishly and asks for nothing in return. John I wish you the very best Karma in your life you deserve it mate you're certainly one of a kind and an absolute true gent.  :cheers: :cheers:

To be fair, I have only lost two items in the post, from literally hundreds. Both of these were Vic Cadets from Zack, and in one case the package arrived but had split open, the LM Charge that was accompanying it arrived safely....

So I really do not think that there is an inherent problem with theft in either the USPS or Royal Mail, or I would almost certainly have seen evidence of it.

Don't forget that things can take a month from the US if they're not specifically sent Priority - it may well still show up :tu:

I used to come here a lot.

Yes Dave I agree I've only had around three packages MIA I'm not saying all are bad just a few  :salute: I hoping it still turns up we'll see but my statement still stands just for the few bad apples in the postal services  :tu: especially this time of year when Royalmail take on temps and haven't the time to check CRB  :salute:

[edit]In fact I'll modify my post and hold my thoughts for awhile  :tu:

Got my package from GG yesterday.  A Manix 2 serrated and a Dave 22 Titanium pocket screwdriver was thrown in just because.  Gotta love the Gadget Guy.
