led lenser?

I just got a t7 light yesterday. Anyone have or had one of these lights? Any thing good or bad about it? I know its a bright light for its price I was wondering how it stacks up against a surefire p6 led. Its way brighter than the surefire that I do know, and runs on common aaa batteries.

Well I've had a few and while they may use different batteries(like N or AAA) the quality isn't great or if its decent the light won't be bright. Also the lights aren't made in Germany they are made in China and very overpriced when you can get better lights from China like Fenix or Nitecore(I probably wouldn't buy any of these but they are well designed and of good construction.)

A good light you might like is Streamlight Scorpion LED its made here and very bright(120 lumens).

Not that I have one but I was looking at the LED lenser range myself recently and most folks over on Candle Power Forum seem to think the P7/T7 is great bang for the buck.  The general feeling I got form my reading was that Lenser seem to be upping their game when it comes to quality as well.

PS I also seem to remember that everyone felt that the claimed run times were outlandishly high.

They are! Its usually 1/10 runtime of what they claim at full brightness.

Runtimes aside  the quality was pretty good on my David and a smaller one I cant remember  IIRC , I don't have them now that was 2 to 3 years ago,the P7 by all accounts is a good flashlight if you can get it cheap IMHO but who am I to make such a statement

LL has a small, but very devoted fanbase over on CPF.

LL makes some 'big bang for your buck' models that are available at local Big Box Stores.

They offer some unique features:  compact size, easily focusable heads, outstanding throw, and running on commonly available AAA or AA cells.

Quality seems good going by reviews over on CPF.

I always take notice of the various LL models when checking out the flashlight section at Lowes.  Have been tempted, but so far haven't bought one.

I know several of my co-workers that have the LL Police Tech focus it's decent bright light that seems easy to use.I don't like the set up with the batteries I can imagine it being murder to change if they die when you are in the dark it's raining and freezing cold you want simple and easy for those times

jock1, the dedicated LL fans sometimes buy extra battery holder cartridges IIRC.

Carrying a spare, pre-loaded battery holder makes changing cells quick and easy.

well ive had mine for a few days now I also got a surefire led 6p and the led lenser is a better flashlight. Ive used it every night that ive had it for about 15-20 minutes a night on the same batteries and its still brighter than the sure fire. It puts out more light and throws further too. The surefire seems a little sturdier built but the LL isnt cheap by no means. I like it so much better than the surefire im taking the surefire back and getting a differnt LL.

These lights are renowned for having very good throw in a smaller package.

I can see why they might appeal to cops and similar professions.
