Not a fan of serrations here myself.  I can see the applications in some specific circumstances, but as a day-to-day knife?  Not for me.

If you have a knife/tool with two blade then I have no problem with one of them being serrated, but if you only have one blade then I'd have a PE all the way.

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

I find serrations no more difficult to sharpen than a PE.  If you have a Sharpmaker it's quite simple.

But takes more time and a little more care.

Also, often sharpened at a different angle than a PE (even on the same blade  :ahhh)

Actually I'd say they were quicker as you only have the one side.

Guys, check out this Boker combo edge.

This looks to be a great design for a combo edge - mid serrations instead of back serrations.

The 'sweet spot' near the base of the blade is PE for precision cutting.

The tip is PE for delicate cutting tasks.

But you still have all that Serrated Goodness if/when it is needed.

Very little downside to adding the serrations to this knife.

This is another Chad Los Banos design for Boker - love this guy's innovative designs.

I hate them, I like serrated blade (Spyderedge) or - in most cases - plain blades. The only use for comboedges is on MT hat have only one blade. For I guess there is a chance that I might cut rope, cardboard or fibrous material when working so for someone who just carries a MT and no extra knive the CE might be fine. I like the blade on the Spirit, for it has very fine serrations and is good for most tasks, and I accept the blade on my Spyderench even if I´d prefer it to be full serrated or plain. But on a folder, I will not carry a CE.

They are okay for EDC, but very hard to resell compare to PE, so I gotta take that into consideration.

Good to hear for who's looking for such a blade  :tu:

Yeah, it looks quite functional as a general utility blade to me too.

But, it is marketed by Boker and designed by CLB primarily as a fighting knife.

The large flipper and the sub-hilt are for maintaining a secure grip during a stab and subsequent withdrawal of the blade from an opponent.
