cycling SAK's ?
on: December 18, 2009, 09:36:49 AM
Ive been a cyclist alll my life and have generally carried individual tools , last few years ive carried a multi tool, now i just wondered if any one has carried any of the SAK cycling models and are they worth having, i like the mini mountain bike wenger, and the cyclist, but possibly i should stick to my topeak multi tool, or is there a better SAK alternative ?
thanks for any help guys,

paul

I'm in the same boat as you mate :tu:

The Wenger bike tool's are a great bit of kit :), but no where near as useful as the Topeak tools of this world :-\
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

For cycling specific I'd probably stick with the Topeak myself. I still carry my ancient original Alien tool when I ride. Going on 10 years now and it's never let me down. Having it geared so specifically for working on a bike is a huge plus when you really need the thing.

How about this?

I think that a topeak is better thou, not enought hex keys on the SAK, I paired mine with a gerber crucial for cycling purposes as I wanted some pliers and having the proper blade is nice bonus too
